post no. 3

Sunday 6th August..

Taylor had yet another gala netball day... This time it was at Cessnock... Our girls still play modified rules, ie. small stepping allowed, 4ft away not 3, no-contact pulled up on, blah blah blah.. WELL, we started our first game on the Sunday morning AND it was BIG rules!!!!!!!! HUH why wasn't we told??!!!! anyhow, the girls got pulled up on alot of things that they weren't aware of... they didn't even know anything about standing beside, out of play, for contact, etc... so we played 8 games that day... we lost 2, had 1 draw and won 5... that was pretty great considering.... overall for the day, in our section we came runners up... We arrived there at 7.30am and didn't leave till 4.30pm.. no wonder i had a really sore back that night...
We also had a gala day back on the 23rd of July too.. this one was played at Maitland... It was classed as a 'fun day gala day', so the kids our age group didn't worry about keeping/recording scores... But we did.. lol We got to Maitland Park at 7.30am.. the girls had to play 6 games today... we won all six games, woohooo.. we were the only team there, in any grade, that was undefeated that day.... :o)
