Still here....

Well after such torential rain for the past 48hrs we are still here.. We thought we were going to have to get the Ark out, but thankfully things have started to ease off now.

But it sure was scary...

after getting some groceries this morning (incase we need to stock the Ark) and before any more rain trapped us, i did a quick whizz past the local park down the road..
this part is EXTREMELY popular. It is just a hollow inbetween 2 towns, but the coucil finally did something worthwhile a couple of years ago and fixed all the drainage, made new ponds, put in bbq area's, toilets and an excellent park area for the kids. Also they put a walkway around the whole thing, that is really popular with walkers (me being one of those!!!)
SO, we were saying last night, how we wondered how it faired with the extreme heavy rain, as we haven't had anything like this in years & years...
