Time to catch up...

Gosh, i haven't blogged in ages, how dare i...

Whats the last thing i chatted about???? best go and check, that's how bad my memory is getting these days.... Can i blame my thyroid, what the heck, lets....

Been & checked & it was Steamfest..

Sunday i got up at 5am!!!!!!!!! GOSH that was hard!!!
went to work and got everything done, then had to sit around half an hour at 8am and wait for the 'open up shift' person to start.. What a waste that was..
Anyhow, got home to a shitty DH cause he wanted to be gone by 8am.
So, we gets into Maitland and there were hundreds of people already there, more than last year.. It works out well for the car show though. Only being $3 to get in, its heaps easier than looking for a (free) carpark.. lol
I have got some great photos of Brendan's car, but ive forgot my camera cord today (at work) so i'll have to download them later..
We walked around for a while and looked at all the cars. Then we headed over the highway footbridge (with the thousands of other people) and headed over to Maitland Train Station, were all the Train 'stuff' was at. They also had carnival rides, markets, horse rides, food stands, etc... It was all pretty good and again, more than last year...

The kids got there face painted again.. They were hanging out for it again this year, coz the lady that did it last year was really good... Right or wrong, Jordan wanted to get his face painted like a cat.. He got a 'doddy' (doggy) last year and wanted a CAT... the lady asked him if he wanted a tiger and he said, 'NO, a cat!!!!!!' how bout a big lion then, there like a cat.. So he settled for a lion... phewwwwwwwww
We had some lunch and then walked back over to the cars... We looked around a little more and got some more photos.. There were 2 GREAT looking Mini's there and one was Jordan's favourite colour and one was red too.. So i got a photo of Dan in front of the red one and Jordan infront of the blue one... I was hoping the owners might of been around, i was going to ask them if i could get a photo of Jordan sitting in it, but they couldn't be seen...

Around about 1pm we packed up and headed out for a drive.. It is EXTREMELY rare for Brendan to have his car out, so it wasn't something that we usually do, go for a drive in HIS car...
We headed out to Hinton Pub for a nice deserving ale. It was so peaceful out there...
While we were sitting there another car similar to Brendan's pulled up behind us and Brendan was chatting to the owner.. Brendan's is a 1971 and the other one was a 1967 model...
I took a heap of photos here as it is a really old pub (the 1st ever pub in the Maitland area).. I felt like a real tourist though, i went across the road and took some photos so i could get the car & the pub in... I think they turned out really well, esp. the sepia ones.. i'll show them off when i get them onto the computer... :o)
After we left Hinton, we then headed out to Patterson, went to the first pub and it was PACKED, so we headed off to the only other one and it was nice & quiet... Had another beer there and the kids had a bit of a run around and a pkt of chips...

Brendan then decided to go for a run up the highway.. Lucky for him for the quiet i suppose, but the kids & i all fell asleep... :o)
When i woke, we were almost at Singleton, he then decided that he couldn't be bothered going up there, so he turned around and headed back... We came back through Broke and then out through the Vineyards... I hadn't been that way in a real long time...
It's funny how you can live so close to something that can be so popular, but never bother to go visit... We def. arn't wine people, so we don't bother with the whole Vineyards thing. But we should make an effort to take the kids out there for a picnic at some time... I use to go out there all the time when we were kids, but have never taken my own kids out there...

We go home in time for everyone to have a shower, oh called into mums first to pick up some lasagne that she had made for the club and made an extra one for us, yummy...
We all had our showers, had tea and settled down on the lounge ready to watch my fav. show at the moment... The Biggest Loser... It was so sad, i was so HAPPY that Adro was invited back into it, woooohooooooo... Go the Newcastle boy!!!!!!!!!
THEN, it was BIG BROTHER time, woohoooooo
How young, full of themselves and PRETTY are all the housemates.......
oh well, i'll still watch it... i get very addicted to everyone's life.... *blush*

Monday 24th

Nothing exciting today i don't think????
The kids went to Lyn's for the day today while i went to work....
OH, Taylor had her Netball sleep over today..
Renee, Tay's netball coach decided to have the whole team over for a sleepover... SILLY GIRL!!!!!!!! lol A whole NINE 8yr olds.... HA!!!!!!!!
They had a great time though, i think Taylor was a little nervous about going, but she was HEAPS excited... I picked her up the next day and Renee said she was the most behaved one out of the lot of them... I said, did she say that to all the mums and she said a definate NO!!!!!!

Dan had soccer training in the arvo and i went to Curves.. That's all that happend really...

Tuesday 25th
Anzac Day

Brendan got up nice & early and went to the Dawn Service, he's a good boy..
The boys & i got up and got ready for the day.. I was off to work and Brendan was taking the boys to the March at Kurri...
I went to work and then after about an hour went & picked Taylor up from Renee's.. She then just came to work with me and played ABCKids on the computer...
Mum had to take Nan to hospital in the morning. She's ok, but has that 'thing' (whatever it is) back in her foot.. So they have put her into hospital to get the anitbiotics into her via a drip..
I left work around 12.30pm, went home, gave the kids a quick bit to eat and got changed. Brendan & i then took them up to his M&D's for the arvo while we headed on up to Bellbird pub to have the arvo with my dad... It's his b'day today and Brendan has always wanted to have an Anzac Day at Bellbird with my dad...
It was a really good day, we had a great time there... Only problem was though, i had to drive... :o( Had my first ever bet at Two Up and lost it straight up, lucky it was Brendan's $10.. lol.... Dad, Brendan & my cousins (Beau & Shannon) talked me into going into the middle for the 'toss of the coins'... I was SO nervous, i was shaking heaps... I ended up getting 'heads' once then a couple of 'one of each' and then got a 'tails'.. Oh well, again Brendan's $20 so that's ok...
THE BEST THING, well one of them, from being there happend, it was SOOOOOOOOOOO funny...........
BEWARE: Bitchy mode here!!!!!!!!! lol

ooopss better go, the kids have a Dancing Workshop this arvo and i have to get them from the MIL's and get them orgainsed.... I'll leave you hanging and BBS....

Ok back.. Sorry about that, sorry to keep you hanging like that...

NOW, without sounding vain or anything, cause that is something i DEF. am not...
Well, while at the pub on Tuesday, i spotted someone i hadn't seen in about 13-14yrs.. It was Brendan's EX-girlfriend... AND OH MY GOD!!!!!!!! all i can say is (besides, thankgod ive lost some weight) she looked terrible!!!!!!!!! But boy did that put a smile on my face... lol :o)

She was his first love, she was a huge tart & was cheating behind his back. We all knew and tried to tell him, but he was smitten with her. In the end, we made sure he 'found' out just exactly what she was like... I ended up having a (sort of) fight with her on the last day of school cause she was just such a bitch to him.. And no, it wasn't that i was jealous of her, i didn't really have much of an interest in him, cause i didn't really know him that well.. Him & his mates were friends with my & my friends, even though we went to different schools...
Anyhow, how Brendan & I got together is a whole other story.. But lets just say it wasn't long after that, that we got together and that was December 12th 1992...
