The Great Escape...

They're out....

Both Brant Webb & Todd Russell that were trapped under ground since Anzac Day (14 days ago or 321 hours) walked out at 5.58am this morning...
It has been a day of tears & joy all over Australia today..
They even reported that the story was front page of the New York Times today...
I had today off work to get a few things done, but i have mainly sat in front of the telly watching everything that has been happening...

Miners walk free

It must be very hard for the Knight family though, joy that that the 2 miners have been resuced, but sorrow that Larry Knight didn't make it and will be laid to rest today... My condolences go out to his family...

It's really weird to be watching what has gone on, it makes you feel that you know the men so well, when really there is no connection with them at all...
And i guess that's due to the reporters & media that keep us up to date with everything...
We always seem to bag the reporters for being there 'in your face' when things happen, but it it wasn't for them really, we wouldn't know what was going on...
It was very sad on Sunday when Richard Carelton died. But at least one thing that can be said, he died doing what he loved...

Brendan said it was pretty ironic though. The media/reporters are always first there 'in your face' and wanting the best picture/story and as soon as Richard collapsed, they put sheets up and hushed away the reports...

Anyhow, it is a FREEEEZZZZING day here today...
I am having heaps of trouble typing this as my fingers are just so frozen..
I am someone that is constantly putting cream into my hands, its a bit of a compulsive disorder and its worse if i have just washed my hands.. So today it is heaps worse, as i am washing my hands every 5mins just to run them under the got water cause they are so cold...

I best get going for now...
I had today off work to get HEAPS done and have done hardly anything..
I have to leave in about 15mins to get Jordan from school. Im then going to get Taylor & Daniel from school too and go straight to Curves.. Maybe there i will warm up... lol
I'll be working Wednesday, Friday & Sunday night this week (& the next few weeks too) as its almost Membership Renewal time at work and we have decided to get in early this year to ease the rush a bit.. The extra money will be good (hence the $9K bill!!!) but the long days & no spare time is the worst...
Ive got a couple of SB projects i MUST get to asap, but finding the motivation (its freezing) and time is the hardest!!! BUT, i'll get to it, i promise...
