half September, already..

It is so hard to believe that it is almost half way through September already...
how time is just flying...
and how sad the first half has already been, esp. the first day...
that news still breaks my heart when i think about it... :o(

On to some good news..
Today was Nan's b'day.. She was 76 today (she thinks she's 176 though..lol..)
Mum bought her down to the Club and the kids (plus Maddie) met her there and we had lunch and cake... Not heaps exciting really, but its something for Nan to enjoy...

5 more sleeps and we are off for the weekend..
And our Wedding Anniversary too... 6 years....
We haven't had a holiday in exactly 2yrs, so even though its only a quickie, it will be better than nothing... And i desperately NEED it at the moment.. Too many scary thoughts (& worries) going through my head at the moment, so the break will be nice..
Here's hoping we have nice weather though...

Speaking of the weather, we have had so much rain here in the past 4 days, it isn't funny..
On the news they have said, it has been the wetest couple of Sept. days since 1880something???

The kids & i went to the Elsley's yesterday, Bronwyn was having a lingerie party and insisted i went, so it looked like she had friends... lol
the kids drove me bonkers though!!! 8 kids inside all the time (as it poured of course) and the house is all tiles and boy did it echo!!!!
Taylor & Daniel ended up staying over the night (that is Dan's wife's place) and i felt guilty for Jordan & Hannah (his girlfriend) then, so asked if Hannah wanted to stay at our place...
It was a test though, she is only 4 and hadn't stayed at anyones place before...
10.30pm she was ready to go home... lol AND it was bucketing down outside...
i didn't mind though, it was worth the try and i didn't want her to be upset.. Jordan was heaps though... He bawled his eyes out when she said she wanted to go home. Hannah & i just got outside the door and he was asleep.. He had cried himself to sleep, god love him...

Jordan & I did some grocery shopping on Thursday morning, which i don't know why i bothered, oh yes i do, i was freezing and wanted something hot for lunch.. lol.. It was absolutley pouring down.. I got drenched... anyhow, Jordan had been hanging out for bananas for ages, but there just hadn't been any around... Hidden inbetween some apples, here were 2 lots of 5 bunches, @ $13.00 akilo!!!!!! of course he spied them and just HAD to have them... and i felt guilty for breaking one of the bunches, so i bought a whole FIVE BANANA'S!!!!! they only cost me $7.58 OMG!!!!! they were worth the expression on his face though... he enjoyed every single one of them... :o)

i'll have to tell you the story about Jordan & his apples....
he loves apples (just like banana's) and has anywhere up to 5 a day...
but, what he does is... he eats them like anyone else does, but he 'stores' the skin in his cheek.. He chews off the skin, puts it to the side (in his mouth) and eats the flesh from the apple.. He does this for the WHOLE apple AND sometimes even the 2nd apple... I tell him to go spit out the skin, sometimes he says no (i think he wants to get all the juice out of it, lol) but he goes to the bin and spits out this great big clump of apple skin!!!!! lol
sometimes he'll even fall asleep, while eating a apple and all the skin is still in the side of his cheek in his mouth...
At least he eats his fruit... lol

Im still trying to decide what to do about Jordan's b'day in just over a week..
He wants to have a party, (i was thinking of just a Macca's party), but we just don't have a spare day/night/weekend to do it?? im really not sure what to do about it yet.. and then the longer i take thinking about it, the sooner its going to be here and it's going to be too late???!!! :o( oh, decisions, decisions.............

We have Netball this Wednesday night...
Im SOOOO worried about it... i was going to finish off my netball post the other week, but just didn't get back to it... ooooppppss...
Bronwyn asked me to play in her netball team, at Cessnock... She works for the CBA at Cessnock and the girls there were putting in a team...
i was SOOO excited, but SOOOOOOOO nervous... I haven't played netball in over 15yrs and haven't coached since then either... i had always played when i was a kid, up until we moved to Kurri and then i was coaching.. (then i met Brendan and that all went down hill then.. lol )
I was(am) worried that i can't keep up with the girls or the game, (im aLOT bigger now than i was then!!) and i'll embarrass myself and them??!!! AND i hate the thought of the uniform!!!! wearing those terrible netball skirts!!! I hated them when i was 5 & up, so now at 30 (almost 31) its worse!!!!!!!!
We played our grading games the other week. Bronwyn said they were going to bum it and hopefully get in a lower grade!!!!!!!!! HUH!!! i think as soon as those girls got on the court they just went straight into attack!!!! I played GK (less to run, lol) and the first game was a wipe out!!!!! it was so fast and i had to think hard & fast to get into it... we got flogged... We were to play just 10min games... The girls played a bit too serious for me and for what i thought we were going to do...
We then sat off 2 games and then had to play our next 4 straight!!!!!!! (which we won!!!)
I think my body didn't know what had hit it when i was finished, but i wasn't as buggered as i thought i would be... I was excited about it though, i did some good moves & intercepts, so i was happy with myself... But i think i was a little less worried cause we just wore what we wanted for that night... This Wednesday however, is the start of the comp and its uniform night!!!! boohooo!!!!! We did get in the lower grade though, thank goodness~!!!!!!!!
Anyhow, i can only see how i go and try my best....

~ Dancing!!!!!!!
i can't remember if i hinted out about dancing or not???
i started doing tap dancing a couple of years ago, just for a bit of exercise and a bit of fun..
This year i talked Bronwyn & Kathleen into doing the ladies Street Jazz with me... (instead of the tap, even though i LOVE the tap, but i just couldn't fit both in)...
It is so much fun, we have a blast... We always said it (which i have said it for the past 3yrs too) that we are only doing it for fun and that's it, NO concert...
WELL, guess what??????
were going in the concert!!!!!!!!! i still can't believe it... and i don't think Kathleen or Bronwyn can either... The kids all think is so kewl and exciting... lol
we have said we want to wear all black and blend into the back drop. lol.. but we are going to wear black pants and something black & red on the top.. We are also going to wear black wigs with a red streak, hoping NO ONE will recognise us... lol..
Our song we are doing is S.O.S by Rihanna....
I'll keep you posted how we go... LOL

ok, i think i have raved enough for tonight (shhhh i am at work!!!! lol)
take care & i'll be back soon.....xx
ive tried to add some photos, but blogger wont let me!!! :o(
sorry..
