Funny story...

Brendan asked me to go away with him sometime next month..
he knows ive had a pretty stressful last couple of months and knows i just need to get away...
Well, i didn't think i did, but he does (& i guess i do, so i might be able to stop crying every 5mins & every drop of a hat AND ESP. at work too, how embarrassing!!!!!!!!)

Anyhow, he was going to orgainise it and it was going to be a romantic getaway, just the 2 of us, somewhere he would pick..
i secretly hoped he would wisk me off to Melbourne for the weekend, as that's where i really would love to go (besides Fiji that is!!!)...
We tee'd it up with Mum & Stephen to have them.. take them & pick them up from school on the Friday and to have them over the weekend... they are keen to have them...

A week after he decided this, he sent me a text mesage, this is how it went...
Brendan... hey babe, what do you think about us taking the kids...
Me... why do you feel as guilty as i do???
Brendan... yep

SO, were now taking the kids with us... huh!!!
so much for a romantic weekend away... Oh well, it doesn't worry me/us at all...
They deserve a getaway as much as we do... (cause you know how busy a social life those 3 little ones have.. lol)
Anyhow, i still didn't know where we were going to, UNTIL today... lol
I had an idea we were going to Port Macquarie, as we both like it there and its only a 3hr drive from home...
Today when i went to get the mail, heres an envelope addressed to Brendan, with Flynn's on Surf up in the top corner... lol It must have his reciept in it... (don't worry, i didn't open it)
When he came home from work today, he asked if i had seen the mail and i tried TRIED to keep a striaght face & say no, but i just couldn't...
I did pretend i didn't know the place (which i didn't until i looked it up on the internet) and asked if we had stayed there before (we have, there just changed there name!!) and he told me no... lol

So, we are on count down till we get away for a couple of days...
OH & i forgot to say, the 16th of September, is our wedding anniversary too... ahhhh!!!!
it doesn't really bother us having the kids with us for that though, as we took Taylor & Dan with us on our honeymoon anyhow... lol

OK, now the ironic part to this....

When we got married, soon to be 6yrs ago, Brendan organised the 'honeymoon suite' for us..
That was to be a surprise too..
Secretly our wedding party had orgainised a limo to pick us up from the wedding reception (which i {alone} had done for my best friend the year before). Only my best friend who organised the limo knew where we were going, so she could tell the driver...
A couple of days before the wedding, an envelope arrived in the mail for Brendan, with a nice little logo in the top left hand corner... It said... Peppers Anchorage Port Stephens, oh my gosh!!!!!!! do you know how expensive that place is???!!!! well it cost us $550 just for one night!!!!!!!!!
anyhow, that is the same thing that has happened to us about our wedding anniversary weekend away next month...
how ironic is that???!!!!!!!!

ok, just thought i would fill in some time while im at work...

Oh & while im at it.. i'll tell you 2 funny things about our wedding night..
NO, i wont tell you any 'other' details...
We got picked up in our limo around 1am to go to the 'wedding suite' which was about an hours drive... We then left in the morning, as b'fast wasn't included, around 9.30am to have Macca's for breaky, how romantic.... SO, we were only there for 7.5hr @ $550 a night, golly gosh!!!
ALSO, when we arrived to our beautiful room, there on the coffee table in the middle of the room, as a beautiful BIG bunch of fresh long stem red roses.. Oh my gosh they were beautiful, i so wish i had my camera (no i didnt take it with me, this was before my scrapbooking days, :o( ), i thanked Brendan heaps for them and he told me, when he booked the room, cause we were on our wedding night, they asked would he like them for the room... Of course he said...
When we checked out our bill the next day, here was a little extra on the bottom, $50 flowers... WHAT THE!!!!!!!!! anyhow, Brendan didn't care...
But that's alright, at least we now know the room really only cost $500 for the night!!!!!!!
OOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
