how dare they make me do proper work while at work, don't they know i have important things to do???
anyhow.. i have just been putting it off for ages cause i was so far behind and now i am wayyyyyyy behind... i have to try & think what i have been up too..
maybe like my last *embarrassing* long post where i had to catch up, i started from now and worked back... i guess i should just do that again now...
~ today (Monday), i am at home instead of working... Taylor is home today sick.. she started off with stomach cramps yesterday and now she has a full blown head cold and isn't very well at all.. it will look like i'll be home tomorrow too, probably???
I have heaps of things i should be doing around here too though, so i should be using it to get ahead while im at home, BUT instead ive done NOTHING!!!!
Ive been dying to update this blasted blogg for ages, so im going to sit here and attempted to get as much as i can done now....
Sun 20th August
was the AGM at work.. everything went smoothly which was pretty good..
everyone then sat around for the morning, noon & afternoon OH & the night...
that's what happens when the club puts on free drinks for its members... lol
I had been sick all morning, so it was the last thing i wanted!!!!! i got home around lunch time, had a quick bite and then had a lie down.. before getting up to go to work again...
Sat. 19th August..
Happy Birthday Brendan...
it was Brendan's birthday on Saturday.. as always he got up around 4am & headed off to the gym. Got home & washed the car..
when the kids got up, they made him b'fast.. we then all got ready and went to Netball...
it was the last netball game for the year.... we won, of course... 13 - 1... Taylor scored 6 of the goals.. Taylor then went to Maddy's house for the arvo and the boys & i all went out for lunch and some shopping...
we then headed out for dinner, with the inlaws, Kathleen & Rols and Brad...
we went to Griffo's. the inlaws then took the kids home with them and we stayed on for a good night out... I didn't think i had that much to drink really (not like i usually do??!!) but i was VERY ill the next morning.....
Sunday 13th August..
Happy Birthday Taylor...
Sunday we spent the day at home to celebrate Taylor's 9th birthday...
i SOOOOOOO can't believe that my baby girl is now the big NINE!!!!!!!!! double figures next year, oh my gosh!!!!
Danielle came over and spent the day with us...
All the relo's came & went during the day and she got some beautiful presents... (which i'll try & show here!!!)
Taylor's presents... Mum & Dad- ears pierced (again??) & 2x handbags (mum couldn't decide which one?? lol)
Dan & Jordan- High School Musical CD & Mean Girls DVD (that Tay had picked out)
Uma & Poppy- wooden Jewellery Box and a beautiful charm braclet.. Mum (my mum) had been saving this up for Taylor for a long time.. the charms that are on it come from all over the world (mainly from Lyn).. Uma is going to add to her braclet every birthday.
Barr- Bratz doll & Bratz diary
Grandad & Maxine- pink thongs & a Roxy wallet.
Shannon & Brett- shorts & 2 t-shirts and a watch.
Nanna & Pop- (over-expensive) heart diamond pendant necklace
The Halls- 3x pack dolls.
Danielle- jewellery/bead maker
i went a bit over the top & bought 3 cakes for her and mum had also made her a yummy caramel tart... I ended up taking half of one to work with me (& the other half is still sitting in the fridge, oopppps) and the kids took a couple of pieces of another one to school with them...
we had an easy tea of fish & chips and then took Danielle home around 7.30pm..
i dropped a piece of cake off to my Nan the next day and she said Taylor had told her, the only thing she was disappointed in with her b'day was that Danielle couldn't sleep over...
phewwwwww, glad that was all it was... (it was a school night...)
Saturday 12th August..
last day of soccer today....
we played Weston, which when we played them last time we bet them, 3- 2...
ALL the kids played a great game and it was so action packed & thrilling....
Very on the edge of your seat too... sadly we didn't win, BUT we didn't lose either... the score was 0 - 0.. thats how great of a game it was...
Netball was the second last game and we won that too.. 12 - 6... :o)
we went home & got ready for an afternoon out as a family...
we had planned on taking Taylor to the movies, & to take one of her friends, Danielle.. But Danni's mum had organised a surprise for Danni and was taking her to see The Young Diva's... So she couldn't come with us...
We went to the 3.30pm session to see Hoodwinked.. Not my fav., but the kids enjoyed it... Not as good as all the other kids movies... esp. Cars...
After the movies, WHICH btw.. is such a rip off these days.... I bought our 5 tickets, (had a voucher for one free ticket), got the kids 3x small popcorns (AND Jordan lost the lot of his!!! grrrrr!!!) a bag of chips and 2x large drinks... all that (not really that much) cost $65.00!!!!!!!!! and they wonder why people don't take there families out that much!!!!!!!!!!! huh..
anyhow... we had a good time at the movies and then headed out for dinner afterwards...
Taylor had a lovely pre-birthday celebration...
What else has been happening??? For the life of me, i can't remember....
I'll come back with the rest... ive over blogged..xx
